6/11/25 CRT & Beach Episode

hello my loyal subjects, it’s been a minute! a decent chunk of shit has happened since my last writing on here. some good some……not so good. i'm going to try to be mostly positive this time, as it seems most of what I have to say in these entries tends to make those who care for me a tad concerned. ANYWAYS

mid May, i managed to get something i’ve been wanting a long time: a big ass CRT TV.

from my time collecting and tinkering on these things i’ve been dying for a 27in one. 27 inches being what is found in most sit-down arcade cabs. saw a listing for a 27in SANYO tv on Facebook Marketplace for dirt cheap, and sent the fastest message ever. the seller said “many ppl are trying to get it today so it’s first come first serve”. told him 2pm,

opened it up a couple of days later to work on it. and managed to get the picture looking a bit better with some adjustments.

been making my way though silent hill 3 (which is much more the vibe rn than it really should be). Also been chipping away at Tales of Rebirth with my brother.

will i replace this thing soon? yeah most likely…

but for now, she is my smelly baby and will be cherished

hopped in my whip and sped for an hour to make it there right on time. when i arrived the tv was waiting for me out front and holy shit it wqs massive. it was definitely NOT 27in, it was 32in! due to it being that large, this fucking thing was HEAVY. well over 130 pounds. The seller was nice enough to let me test it, and kindly helped me lift this behemoth to my lil Honda accord. (a tight fit, but it fit somehow) what a swell guy. got the homie: matt, who kindly helped me clean and lift this fucker up the stairs and on to some old record crates where she sits today. now lemme be clear, this thing has quite a few problems:

1. it smells like a fucking nana character,

   reeks of cheap cigs when powered

2. any reds and oranges bleed like crazy on the display

3. some capacitors have blown, so there are some

   fucked up lines that appear on the top of

   the screen from time to time.

dispite its issues, i love this thing so much! spent the better part of a couple days just having a gay-little-slumber-party with matt watching and playing old shit on it.

got my huge shipment of keep5alive inventory from Japan for this coming goblin mart. got my friend (who is also named matt) to do a dope photoshoot in my room modeling all the new clothing. bro killed it, def my favorite thing iv’e done for keep5! (thank you matt for being a good sport and willing participant. you did amazing!) i’m not the best photographer, so they aren’t anything crazy but idc. these photos just fun.

had blast vending at goblin mart. really tried my best to make that event special, and i think it paid off. my best booth so far, i would say.

somehow snuck my way into having somewhat of a friend group and got to go on a dope beach trip with the gang. 4 hours of driving later, and made it to Clearwater! vibes were immaculate. tons of booze, pub-subs, fruit, warm water. very idealized beach episode. watched Cat Soup and FLCL on my lil CRT. truly a dream come true. never have been prouder to be a Floridian. felt like a innocent lil kid again, but with the freedom of being an adult.

been itching to do something like this with a group for a while now.thank you to everyone for making this such an amazing time. means the world.

was honestly expecting to come on here with great news to write about but i guess not lol. as of writing this, it has been almost exactly a week since ya boi lowkey got his motherfuckin’ heart ripped outta his chest. not gonna get into that shit here. i’ve spent enough time venting about this to those around me. mostly bringing it up here to say im sorry to those who have had to be around me the past week. (ik i haven’t been THAT insufferable or anything. i just know that i can be MUCH more enjoyable to be around than the person i am atm) just wanted to have it on the record here. this feeling of rejection ain’t new or anything, it’s just been a while….

it’s been very difficult to get much done. i have just been doing this:

-for the past week. thank god for the new deltarune and the homies. Toby Fox has been successful in keeping me from tryna jump off a bridge.

to be clear to those involved, i don’t have much ill will or anything towards you. this site is just my safe-haven and writing stiff like this out seems to help me heal. holding out hope that i can continue to heal from this shit and everything else that has been going on. for now, i just feel scuffed.

looking forward to going to CEO Gaming this weekend with my brother. wish me luck in 3rd Strike!
